During 1463CE to 1481CE , Mahmud Gawan was the Prime Minister at Bahamani Kingdom. The kingdom was divided into eight tarafs under Tarafdars. The salaries and perks were fixed for each noble.Salaries were paid in cash or in the form of Jaggir. He built a great Madarsa or College in Bidar.
