Answer-Males are told boys donot cry and are given guns and car as boys and girls are given dolls and play houses, so that they can play the traditional female house making role.

2.How is stereotyping harmful?

Answer-The notion of stereotyping is generally negative. It creates discrimination that results in inequality. It hampers the individuals thought which is prejudiced, irrational and based on fear of what is different.

3.What are the similarities between rural and urban women's condition?

Answer-The condition of rural women habe taken over the responsibility of looking after the forms. They continue to do their traditional works in household.

4.Mention any one type of gender inequality existing world over.

Answer-Martality inequality, women mortality rates are higher as compared to men all over the world.

5.What is meant by invisbilisation of women's labour?

Answer-Invisibilisation of women's labour means the housework and childcare are not considered "work".

2.Without gender equality, the women empowerment is meaningless.Do you agree with the statement? Give two examples in support of your answer.

Answer- Yes, I agree with the statement. As gender equality is the basis of women empowerment. Female workers are getting low wages as compared to men. Working women have to do entire household works before leaving for office.

3.How has education brought awareness among the women and empowered them?

Answer-Education and awareness he empowered the women to emerge as a powerful force in political and economic spheres.

Education makes the women aware of their rights, their rightful place in the society and then factors than hamper their growth. It empowers a women to recognise her potential and end the gender bias.

4.How does the gender equality help a democractic country?

Answer-Equal sharing of resposibilities and a harminous partnership between women and men are neccessary for the well being of their family as well as for Indian democaracy. Shared power and responsibility between women and men at how, in the workplace, at national and international levels would help to create harmony within the family and society.

5.Suggest any four ways to end gender discrimination.

Answer-Four ways to end gender discrimination are-
